The other day someone asked me, “What’s the most beautiful flower you’ve ever seen?” and since I am terrible at remembering the names of flowers and such, I spent some time going through my entire image catalog on a quest to answer this question.

By the time I found the answer I was searching for, the person who asked the question had wandered off – probably thought I was having a stroke or something.

But here she is. The one I think is the most beautiful, for a multitude of reasons. There is an intensity and depth within the graceful curves and details that seems to be ever-moving in almost hypnotic ways. It is memory and emotion and undiscovered wonders.

It is also the Featured Photo until the end of August. Prints ordered from the gallery will be discounted throughout that time.
